A joyful universe of hand-carved and hand painted wooden sculptures

Work

All the characters come from my own childhood imagination. Big headed little girl and friends, quiet observing the world and finding joy in small everyday moments. Each piece begins as a simple block of wood. I slowly carve away what doesn't belong, little by little until the story inside starts to appear. Then I bring it to life with bright, playful color. These sculptures are small and simple on purpose. They are meant to live with you and to remind you that the curious, light-hearted part of yourself is still there!

About

My Art JourneyI have loved drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child, I dreamed of studying art and spending my life creating with my hands. Making art has always felt like my natural way of living in a small, bright world of imagination.I later studied Fine Art and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Intermedia. While in school, I participated in Women of the World, an international traveling exhibition curated by Claudia De Monte, where I presented a hand-embroidered textile piece. After graduation, life took me in another direction and I spent many years focused on work and everyday responsibilities. But art never truly left me. The desire to create was always quietly waiting. When I returned to making art, I explored different mediums until I discovered wood carving and painting. Working with wood allows me to create small, hand-carved and hand-painted sculptures that connect imagination and reality.Today I create joyful wooden sculptures designed to bring a small moment of happiness into everyday life.
